Helping to train the doctors of the future

We have been working with the University of Liverpool and Mersey Care to train 320 third year medical students by holding their tutorials here and working with people we support.

The training has been so successful with students finding the experience so helpful we are going to do the same again in the next academic year.

Staying fit and healthy

On the 27th June 2014 we held an event for people we support, families, carers and the local community.

Over 60 people attended to get a health MOT and to receive advice on health and well being.

Attendees also enjoyed a massage, manicure and joined in with a Zumba dance session.

Everybody was invited to our 4Tea party afterwards with an ‘eat healthy’ theme.

Volunteer walk leaders

Two of our staff team, Tony and Steve, have received training to become volunteer walk leaders.

This means that they can help to enable people to improve their health and stay fit.
